The Turkish Citizenship by Investment (TCBI) program, launched in 2017, allows foreign investors to obtain Turkish citizenship and a second passport through qualifying investments. Applicants may either:
Purchase real estate worth at least USD 400,000 and hold it for three years, or
Invest or deposit USD 500,000 in a Turkish bank, government bonds, or capital investment funds for the same duration.
Once the investment and citizenship application are completed, the Turkish passport is typically issued within six to twelve months. Investors and their families gain access to visa-free travel to 110+ countries, dual citizenship, and eligibility for the U.S. E-2 Investor Visa.
Supervised by the Ministry of Interior and the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs, this program remains one of the world’s most successful investment routes for those seeking residency, mobility, and global diversification through real estate or capital investment in Turkey.
